Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Coast
A helicopter flying over a crowded southern California coastline unexpectedly started spinning wildly, finally descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings uploaded on social media capture the aircraft starting to spin near Huntington Beach then descending near the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palms and a steps close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Details
Emergency responders said five people were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the accident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were harmed. Information on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.

Officials said the chopper was connected to an regular “Cars and Copters” charity gathering scheduled for the next day.
